At Sirens Thread, every jewellery piece is handmade with care on the Gold Coast, Australia. Because of the delicate nature of our products, we want to ensure all customers understand our refund and exchange guidelines. These policies help protect both our small business and our customers.
Eligibility for Returns & Refunds
We accept returns or refund requests under the following conditions:

The item is unused, unworn, and in its original packaging.

The request is made within 14 days of receiving your order.

The item has not been exposed to water or any conditions that may damage jewellery (e.g., lotions, perfumes, rough handling).
We cannot accept returns for:

Items worn in water (including showers, pools, ocean water, or handwashing)

Items that have been damaged due to improper care

General wear and tear
-
Change of mind after the item has been worn

Custom-made pieces unless faulty on arrival
Faulty or Damaged Items
If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours with clear photos of:

The packaging

Any visible damage
We will assess the issue and offer:

A replacement

A repair (if suitable)

Or a refund if the item cannot be fixed or replaced
Damage caused by exposure to water, chemicals, or incorrect use is not considered a manufacturing fault.
No Refunds for Water Exposure
Sirens Thread jewellery must not be worn in water.
This includes:

Swimming
-
Showering
-
Bathing
-
The beach
-
Washing hands
-
Sports or heavy sweating
Water may damage:

Painted linking beads
-
Metal components
-
Chains
-
Threading or elastic
Any damage resulting from water exposure is not eligible for refunds, replacements, or exchanges.
Exchanges
We offer exchanges only when:

The customer wants to exchange for a different item of equal or higher value

The original item is unused, unworn, and in original packaging

The request is made within 14 days
The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was faulty on arrival.
Return Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for the cost of returning items unless the product was faulty on delivery.
We recommend using tracked shipping, as we cannot refund items lost in transit.
Refund Method
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
Please allow 3–10 business days depending on your bank or payment provider.
Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled within 12 hours of purchase if they have not yet entered the creation or packing stage.
Once work has begun, cancellations may not be possible.
